Camp 2026 has wrapped. Camp 2027 details land in the spring. Join the interest list below to hear first, or come try our year-round kids programs in the meantime, because the coaching does not stop when summer does.

Most summer programs keep kids busy. Ours makes them better. Campers spend their days learning real martial arts, building athleticism, and practicing the things that carry into the school year: confidence, discipline, focus, and how to be a good teammate.

Camp runs weekdays, 9:00am to 3:00pm, for ages 6-14, at our gym in Coastland Center. Every group is coached at a 1:10 coach-to-camper ratio, so no child disappears into the crowd.

What campers build

Six things they take home

Real Martial Arts Skills

Actual technique, taught progressively and safely, not choreography to fill an afternoon.

Athleticism & Fitness

Age-appropriate strength, agility and conditioning that makes every other sport easier.

Confidence That Shows

The kind earned by doing hard things and getting better at them, week after week.

Teamwork & Leadership

Partner drills, team challenges, and older campers learning to help younger ones.

Discipline & Focus

Listening, following through, and finishing what you start, practiced daily on the mat.

Friendships That Last

Kids bond fast when they train together. Many camp friendships continue into our year-round classes.

How the weeks work

Every week has a theme

Each camp week runs its own themed adventure, with the martial arts, games and challenges built around it, so a full summer never repeats itself and kids can join for one week or all six. Recent themes:

Shadow Warrior

Stealth, agility and ninja-style movement challenges.

Hero Academy

Training like the heroes: strength, courage and helping others.

Strike First

Striking fundamentals week: punches, kicks and footwork on the bags.

Way of the Warrior

Traditional martial arts values: respect, discipline and perseverance.

Forge Games

Team competition week: events, points and sportsmanship under pressure.

Fight Camp

The finale: everything learned all summer, put together like the pros train.

Why Forge

This is not a generic summer camp

Camp is run by the same coaches who teach our kids martial arts and youth programs all year, led by Coach Wil, a martial artist since age 7 with thirty years of teaching behind him, and Coach Wil Jr, who heads our kids program. The people coaching your child in July are the same ones who could be coaching them in October.

Camp questions

What ages does camp serve?

Forge Summer Camp is for children ages 6-14. We know that covers a wide range of ages, experience levels, and personalities. A 6-year-old coming to camp for the first time may have very different needs from a 14-year-old who already trains, so we do not expect every child to arrive with the same level of confidence or experience.

If your child is near either end of the age range, has never participated in a program like this, or is nervous about joining, talk with us before registering. We would rather meet your child, answer your questions, and help you determine whether the camp environment is the right fit than leave you guessing.

What are camp hours?

Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm. That is the regular camp-day schedule parents should plan around.

Because Summer Camp is a seasonal program, contact the front desk for the current camp dates, availability, registration details, and any instructions that apply to the week your child will attend. We want parents to understand the schedule and know what their child needs before the first morning, not discover important details at drop-off.

Can my child try camp before we enroll?

Yes. Since Summer Camp only runs during certain parts of the year, we do not promise a free trial day of camp. What we can do is invite your child to visit Forge before you make the decision.

Our staff will welcome your family, show you the facility, and introduce your child to the instructors. Your child can also participate in an appropriate youth class so they can experience how we coach, how we explain the training, and how we help a new student become comfortable. They will not be expected to know what to do before they arrive.

That visit gives your child a chance to see the environment for themselves, and it gives you a chance to meet the people who will be working with them. Contact us first so we can choose the right class and be ready for your visit.

What should my camper bring?

Send your child in comfortable athletic clothes they can move in throughout the day. They should also bring a water bottle and lunch.

You do not need to guess about special equipment or purchase a list of items before camp. If a particular camp week requires your child to bring anything additional, we will explain that during registration. Our goal is to make sure every parent knows what is needed ahead of time and every child arrives prepared to participate.
