Most men who come to Forge have trained before. What they have not had is a coach: someone who writes the program, watches the movement, adjusts the plan, and holds the standard when motivation dips. That is the difference between working out and training.
Your program is completely custom, built from your goals, your history, and how you are actually moving. And because strength and striking live in the same room here, a session can run from the barbell to the heavy bag without leaving the floor.
Pick your lane, or blend them
Progressive strength work with honest programming: power, endurance, and the functional capacity that carries into everything. More on S&C.

Questions men ask
I have lifted for years and plateaued. What would you change?
The first thing I would change is the guessing. If you have trained for years, I am not going to assume you need a beginner program, more exercises, or someone telling you to work harder.
We start by looking at what you have actually been doing, how you move, what hurts or has hurt, what your current week looks like, and what you are trying to accomplish now. That helps us separate the parts of your old training that still serve you from the parts that may no longer fit.
Sometimes the assessment confirms exactly what you suspected. Sometimes it shows us that the problem is somewhere else. Either way, we build the program from what we find instead of adding more work to a routine that has already stopped producing results.
I used to compete. Can you give me structure again?
Yes. We work with former athletes and former fighters who still know how to work hard but no longer have a coach, season, or competition giving their training direction.
We give that effort a purpose again. Your program is organized around a clear goal, your coach explains what each part of the training is meant to develop, and your sessions build on one another instead of becoming a collection of unrelated workouts.
We also train the person you are now. We respect your competitive background, but we do not pretend your schedule, recovery, or body is exactly where it was when you were competing. Good coaching means knowing when to push, when to pull back, and how to give you structure that fits your life today.
What does a session look like?
Each session is one-on-one and comes directly from what we found during your consultation and movement assessment. Your coach takes you through the planned work, watches how you perform it, corrects your technique, and adjusts the difficulty when needed.
The exact session depends on why you are here. One client may need more strength and controlled movement. Another may need conditioning, better movement quality, or additional work around a specific limitation. We use the tools that fit the goal rather than forcing every client through the same workout.
You should leave understanding what you worked on, why it was included, and how it moves you toward the result you came in for.
Is this a template program?
No. We coach from firm training principles, but the way we apply those principles depends on the person standing in front of us.
Two clients may both want to become stronger, but one may be returning after years away while the other has trained consistently and stopped progressing. They may have different injuries, movement limitations, schedules, and training histories. Giving both of them the same program would ignore the information the assessment gave us.
Your training is built around your starting point and adjusted as you progress. Individualized does not mean random. It means every part of the program has a reason for being there, and that reason comes back to you.
