An hour with a clear purpose
Coach Wil leads the class with an assistant helping children through practice, partner work and transitions. The hour keeps a familiar order:
- 5 minutes to welcome the group and introduce the day's focus.
- 10 minutes of active warm-up, movement and balance.
- 15 minutes of athletic development, including coordination, agility and basic strength movements.
- 15 minutes of martial arts foundations and coached practice.
- 10 minutes of partner or team games applying the lesson.
- 5 minutes to cool down, receive feedback and finish class.
Boxing and kickboxing foundations sit alongside introductory wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu movement across the block. Children practice familiar skills and take on more challenging tasks as the weeks progress. Controlled partner practice is included; contact sparring is not part of this beta.
The coaches adjust tasks and partner grouping to the children in front of them. Games give the group a way to apply the lesson. Coaches watch and guide the practice.
Wednesdays, January 13-February 17
All six sessions run 11:00am-noon:
- January 13, 20 and 27, 2027.
- February 3, 10 and 17, 2027.
This is a dated six-week beta. Forge will review it after the final session before deciding what comes next. For the rest of the week's classes, see the Forge class schedule.
For homeschool children ages 6-12
The first group is capped at twelve children. Tell us each interested child's age and training experience, including siblings, so we can discuss the fit. A younger or older sibling does not automatically join this group.
You can explore Forge's regular kids martial arts programs too. Those classes have their own schedule and enrollment arrangements.
Tuition for the six sessions
Early registration is $179 per child through January 6, 2027, at 11:59pm Eastern. After that, tuition is $199 per child for the same six sessions.
Tuition is $199 per child for the six sessions.
The block is a one-time purchase with no automatic membership enrollment afterward. Your child's place is confirmed after payment and the required guardian paperwork. Joining the interest list is an inquiry; it does not reserve a seat or lock in the early price.
Registration closes January 10 at 11:59pm Eastern, or when the twelve places are filled. Purchase terms and any applicable payment fee are shown before you pay. Existing members should contact the desk to confirm whether their current class allowance covers the beta.

Meet us at the free January 6 preview
Parents, clothing and gear
The preview runs Wednesday, January 6, 2027, from 11:00am-noon. A parent or guardian stays, and the waiver must be signed before a child participates. It is separate from the six paid sessions.
Join the interest list for preview and registration details, or call (239) 799-KICK to speak with the desk. An interest-list entry does not book the preview; we will confirm the visit arrangements with you.
For the paid block, a parent stays for the first class. After that, you may watch or drop off through Forge's check-in and pickup process. Children should wear comfortable athletic clothes and bring a labeled water bottle. No uniform purchase is required solely for this beta. Loaner gloves are available, and families can purchase their own gloves at the gym.
For co-ops and family groups
Co-op families can ask about the scheduled beta. If your group needs an arranged session, contact Forge with the children's ages, your goals and your preferred schedule. The desk will discuss what can be arranged; the beta's dates and tuition do not automatically apply to a separate group booking.

Coaching that gives each child something to work on
Coach Wil has been teaching since 1995. He leads demonstrations and practice, while the assistant helps with corrections, grouping and transitions. Each child has something specific to work on, with feedback from the coaches.
At the end of the block, families receive concrete coaching observations about their child's participation and progress. Attendance confirmation is available on request.

Will the block automatically become a membership?
No. The six-session block is a one-time purchase. Any decision to continue training afterward is separate.
A homeschool family's experience at Forge
