Martial Arts Summer Camp Naples FL: What Kids Actually Do All Day
March 23, 2026
For coaching standards on youth martial arts programs, the American Camp Association publishes guidelines on age-appropriate intensity and instructor ratios. Our martial arts summer camp Naples FL follows similar principles.
This guide covers what a full day at Forge Athletics looks like for a child age 6 through 14: the rhythm of the day, who the coaches are, and the safety choices behind it.
Parents considering a martial arts summer camp in Naples FL usually want the same two things: a kid who comes home tired and happy, and a program that’s actually doing something real while they’re there. You’ve seen the photos, kids in gis, hands up, throwing strikes on pads, but what does a full day at a martial arts summer camp actually look like? Is it just fighting drills for six hours? (Spoiler: absolutely not.)
At Forge Athletics Summer Camp, every day is structured to keep kids ages 6-14 engaged, challenged, and genuinely having fun from drop-off to pick-up. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at what your child will experience.
What a Forge Camp Day Includes
Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm for ages 6-14. Days combine coached MMA, fitness, games, and activities tied to the week's theme. The exact order can change by day and by theme, so registration details are the source for any schedule a parent needs to plan around.
Do Kids Need Martial Arts Experience to Join?
No prior MMA experience is required. Coaches explain the drills, group campers appropriately, and help new children learn the routine.
Why Parents Pick a Martial Arts Summer Camp Naples FL Over Generic Camps
Traditional camps often rotate through generic activities, arts and crafts, free play, movies on rainy days. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not building anything lasting.
A martial arts summer camp is different on purpose. Each day builds on the previous one. Each week introduces new techniques and challenges. By the end of a week, or a full summer, your child has tangible skills they’re proud of: a cleaner front kick, a more confident stance, real rules they can articulate around respect, effort, and how to handle conflict.
Forge's head coach has more than 30 years of teaching experience and over 50,000 hours of coaching. That experience shapes how the team explains skills and manages a mixed-age camp environment.
Martial Arts Summer Camp in Naples, Frequently Asked Questions
My child has never done martial arts. Will they be left behind?
No. Coaches scale every drill to the child in front of them. First-timers and returning campers train in the same room with different expectations.
What age range is the camp for?
Ages 6-14. We group by age and experience within the camp so the 6-year-olds aren’t paired with the 13-year-olds for sparring-style drills. Both groups get the coaching that fits them.
Is it safe? My kid is a little smaller / shyer than other kids their age.
Yes. We don’t do uncontrolled contact with beginners. Striking work is on bags and pads. Partner drills are slow, coached, and stopped the moment a kid looks uncomfortable. Our coach-to-camper ratio is capped at 1:10, tighter than most full-day camps in Naples.
What should my child bring?
Campers should wear comfortable athletic clothes and bring a water bottle and lunch. Forge explains any week-specific item during registration.
How much does it cost?
Each season’s pricing and dates are posted on our summer camp page when registration opens. If the first day is not the right fit, tell us that day and we refund the rest of the week (see our refund policy).

Most families researching a martial arts summer camp in Naples have the same three questions: is my kid old enough, will they get hurt, and what if they have zero martial arts background? Short answers: yes if 6 plus, safety is built into how every drill is coached, and most campers start with zero experience.
